In this interactive workshop, Jennifer Buddin, entrepreneur and improv comedian, shows and tells you how the skills used by comedy improvisers can also help you professionally.
Comedy improvisers learn “tricks of the trade” to create unplanned, unscripted, spontaneous performances. Jennifer shares the basic tenets of improvising, with illustrative, interactive improv games, to ignite your creativity and help you build a new communication skill that you can use in your personal and professional life.
Jennifer Buddin Bio
Jennifer is a proud wife, mother of 2 sons, and the founder and president of Every Busy Woman LLC, a communications firm based in Charleston, SC, that specializes in design, publishing, and consulting. In 1999, Jennifer co-founded The Little Black Book for every busy woman®, a word-of-mouth directory for women, that expanded into 8 Southeastern markets.
Jennifer performs comedy improv at Theatre 99 in Charleston, SC, as part of the main stage cast as well as in the groups Mary Kay has a Posse and Hot Pants. Combining her entrepreneurial and sales experience, she is a regular presenter on using comedy improv techniques in business.
An enthusiastic volunteer, she serves her community as a non-profit board member and worker bee. In 2005, she received the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” Award, and in 2010, was named one of Stiletto Woman Magazine’s “25 Amazing Women of the Year”.
Jennifer finds joy in being interested in her work, in other people’s stories, and in being a helper, and is an enthusiastic cheerleader for people living consciously and powerfully.
